Region 17 congratulates these youth on their achievements!

All youth are eligible to apply for the Region 17 Scholarship (application due June 30th each year) and also any of the Arabian Horse Foundation Scholarships (due April 1st).

The Bursary Committee received submissions from three of our Region 17 youth exhibitors this year.

Each submission was well thought out and conformed to the rules and regulations set forth in the application forms.

Again this year, the Committee was impressed not only by our youth exhibitors’ scholastic achievements but their sportsmanship, volunteerism and commitment to our wonderful Arabian breed.

After careful consideration and scrutiny of the applications, one individual stood out as most closely

fulfilling the bursary criteria in every category. Our bursary recipient received glowing recommendations from teachers and coaches alike. This individual carried exemplary grades all the while showing her horses in open competitions as well as Arabian competitions. She somehow found the time to volunteer as assistant coach for her high school Ringette team and was instrumental in the rehabilitation of a large herd of rescued Arabian horses.

If you have not guessed by now, we are delighted to award the 2017 Region 17 Bursary to ARIANNA BELL.

We, the Bursary committee, applaud and commend you. You make our Region very proud.

Respectfully submitted

Laurie Mostowich
